What does this look like?
You know the rules of “good” writing, but you break some intentionally to create deeper meaning. Cool!
You challenge social norms, presenting reality in ways that help others better understand what it means to be human.
You break with standard literary and publishing conventions, focusing first on the story you want to tell–and then telling it in the best way possible, marketability be damned! (Ironically, there is a market for books that defy the status quo!)

Submission Process
Our goal is to support creatives. To that end, we’ve made the submission process super easy. Check out our brief survey here.

What happens after you submit?
If we think your book might be a good fit for Left Field, we’ll request a full manuscript. We receive a ton of submissions, and while we aim to respond personally to each one, that’s not always possible. Thanks for your grace and patience. Please keep in mind, even a positive response may take as long as 90 days.
