Unruly stories,
artfully crafted.
“May we all be so courageous in questioning our understanding of the world—and may we do so with such compassion for ourselves and others. Truly lovely.”
- Kate Cohen, Washington Post columnist and editor of We of Little Faith
Different is better.
We’re a team of storytellers obsessed with understanding, deconstructing, and reimagining what it means to be human.
Our authors and editors demonstrate inclusivity, diversity, honesty, and courage. Like all literary rebels, we love good literature, and we live to defy the status quo. To that end, you’ll often find us disrupting traditional genres, literary standards, and social norms.
New Author Signs
with Left Field
We are thrilled to announce Caroline Mansour as the latest addition to our roster of incredible authors!
Caroline’s poignant novel explores the magic of human connection amid unimaginable circumstances. The story follows two women, each fighting to find their way. Rachel bears a terrible burden, struggling through each day with the responsibility she feels after her younger sister is left handicapped from a terrorist attack in Paris. Her efforts to find stability are upended when the erratic--but endearing--Suzy Reynolds insinuates herself into Rachel's life. As the two women pick their way through the detritus of their individual traumas, the unlikely, sometimes comical, intersection of their lives provides the impetus for change and, ultimately, redemption.
At Left Field Publishers, we are proud to work with talented, emerging voices who push boundaries and create unforgettable stories. We can't wait for you to dive into Caroline’s work, and we look forward to sharing more updates on social media as the book’s release draws near.

What we do out in Left Field
We’re a full-service publisher, not a vanity press.
For our contracted authors, we manage all the work (and cover all the costs) of publication while providing an equitable royalty rate. We never charge an author for any aspect of the publishing process, and all the specifics are clearly outlined in our contracts.
Because we think clear is kind (well, and honest).
